On the Couch - Q&A with Lauren Feldman - a San Francisco Therapist
What is your favorite thing about San Francisco?

I’m new to the Bay Area, but I appreciate that SF looks like a pop-up book come to life!

What is your favorite place you’ve ever been?

Name five things that are on your bucket list (things to do before you die).

  1. Visit Thailand
  2. Visit Brazil
  3. Perform in drag
  4. Have some piece of writing published
  5. Learn salsa

What is your favorite memory ever?

Riding a float in NYC pride

Where was your last vacation?

Spain and Germany!

What cause(s) are you most passionate about?

Transgender rights/protections, criminal justice reform, immigration policy

Do you have any talents that few people know about? If so, what are they?

I can imitate accents pretty well (unless I’m asked to do it on the spot and then I freeze)

What is your favorite movie?

Good Will Hunting – this was probably the first time I saw a therapeutic relationship depicted on film. The dynamic between Matt Damon and Robin Williams’s characters is so powerful! Also, it’s set in Massachusetts, where I grew up.

  • I absolutely love Well Clinic! From the beginning, my husband and I felt like we were in a comfortable and safe space.

Our couple’s therapy bridged gaps in our relationship and helped us understand each other that much more.

  • Well Clinic is an oasis, especially for busy professionals like me.

It’s a relaxing and safe space, nothing like the stuffy or drab offices you’d expect when going to a therapist.

  • Well Clinic’s inviting and professional design makes me feel comfortable and at ease, which probably benefits the work I am doing.

In fact, it doesn’t really feel like a therapy clinic at all, which I find awesome.
