MEET ALICE WU-CARDONA

“I offer individual and couples therapy with a psychodynamic and attachment-based approach”

It takes courage to hope for more: more depth in our relationships, more joy in each day, more compassion towards both others and ourselves. It’s easier to fill each day with _____ (Netflix, sports, work, fill in the blank with your distraction of choice), and let the days go on into weeks, months and years. You want something to change, but we carry unhealthy patterns of thinking and relating into all our days, weeks, months and years. Do you want to talk about it?

Therapy is a safe place where we can explore what’s going on. I offer individual and couples therapy with a psychodynamic and attachment-based approach, supplemented with various other modalities to support my clients’ growth. I am trained in the Gottman method of couples therapy, an evidence based way to give couples tools to repair and invest in their relationship. A second generation Asian American Christian, I see spirituality and culture as strengths to draw upon. I believe that change is possible, but it is hard to be working on ourselves. It’s easier to keep distracting ourselves. My therapy office is a safe place to delve in deep, and I’ll be there to make sure you can come up again for air. It takes courage to change unhealthy thought patterns and relational patterns that we have lived with for a lifetime, but life can be much more than it is now. It’s worth the hard work. Let’s talk.
