MEET LILLY SERVERA

“My foremost goal is to provide a warm and safe environment in which you feel respected.”

You deserve to meet with someone who is empathetic, non-judgemental, and feels safe to confide in. I am immensely grateful to be entrusted with people’s stories, and to help them grow. With that, I believe building a trustworthy alliance with individuals is the cornerstone of effective therapy. I strive to provide an environment in which you feel validated, so that you can move towards living your best life.

Through our work, we can collaborate on setting the pace of your treatment in order to create a space that fosters vulnerability and openness. I hold a curious and compassionate lens while helping people unpack distorted beliefs, attachment patterns, maladaptive coping mechanisms, as well as trauma wounds.

I use a warm approach by incorporating empathetic listening, affirming communication, and often a sense of lightness and humor. I may also gently challenge you to help you explore perspectives that can expand insights and awareness. In this, my aim is to help individuals feel more empowered, attuned, and self-accepting.

With my background in social work, I hold how multiple systems impact your identity and life. In my approach, I look to your life events, relationships, and culture to better understand how these components have influenced your thoughts, beliefs, emotions, behaviors, and overall well-being. In a sense, together we are looking at the fabric of your life to better understand how the various threads tie together for you.

Sometimes I may incorporate EMDR, which can be a powerful and effective tool to heal the psychological and physical impacts of trauma. Some topics that I am passionate about include life transitions, cultural identity, grief and death, family dynamics and relationships, and social and racial justice.
