MEET MICAH REA

“I work collaboratively with each client to create a space where they can express their full selves.”

It can feel near impossible to make healthy changes or give yourself space to be present in the face of so much pain in the world. It is difficult to maintain relationships, cope with daily stressors, and find the spaces we need to take care of ourselves. Whether you are interrogating personal identities, embarking on a path of healing, raising self-awareness or improving your relationship to yourself, the process is challenging and also powerful. I am deeply inspired by witnessing clients as they engage in this difficult and liberating work.

My approach is deeply informed by the healing and motivating power of loving and trusting connections. In my practice, I use a trauma-informed, psychodynamic relational approach. We can observe early relational templates and how they show up in clients’ lives and relationships. Through this ongoing process, clients can discover new affirming ways of relating to themselves and others. Part of this relational work is understanding how systems of power and oppression impact each individual client’s life.

I work collaboratively with each client to create a space where they can express their full selves. I strive to support clients in meeting their goals and finding growth and healing. I do this by recognizing and building on clients’ strengths and resources. I meet my clients where they are at and support clients as they deepen their connection to themselves so they may determine what they need.

I’m grounded in social justice, intersectional transfeminist, and Health at Every Size frameworks. I specialize in working with queer and trans folks, as well as kink, poly, and sex worker communities.
